Father’s Day

Today we celebrate fathers – we show a little extra love to the ones who are still here with us, and we remember the ones who are gone.

“This is me & my dad, James Rhoads. He was the kindest, gentlest, hardworking family man~ he was part of FDNY for 28 years. I am honored that I was able to know my Dad, & have him be the first man I loved! Hes MY HERO ♥” ~Pamela

Here at Legacy.com, we’re honoring beloved fathers who have passed away with a special photo gallery on LegacyConnect, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest. We love seeing all the wonderful photos our users send in – from great vintage shots of Dad as a young man to pictures of him playing with grandbabies.

“My Dad, Jerry B. Goodner, on his 45 cubic inch Harley Davidson in the mid-40’s !!!! God Rest His Soul !!!!!!!!!!!!1” ~Jerry

We won’t stop honoring dads tomorrow just because Father’s Day is over. If you’d like to add your father’s photo to our gallery, you can upload it to LegacyConnect or email it to content@legacy.com.

“My awesome Dad, William Eugene Bryant. He passed away in January of 2008. He lived in Birmingham, AL. We love you and miss you so much, Daddy!” ~Julie

Whether you’re grilling out with family or quietly remembering a very special man, we wish you a peaceful Father’s Day.

About Linnea

I joined Legacy.com in 2000 as an obituary writer. In the years since, I've done a little of everything for our Operations team, from content review to customer service to creating web pages for funeral homes to training new employees to my current position, Content Manager. I love this position, because I get to write little bits & longer pieces - whatever's needed at the moment - and I get to proofread a lot, satisfying my inner nitpicker. And I love being on the blog team, because I get to write interesting features for the blog. I love to write! In my spare time, I... can you guess?... write. I'm hoping that one day I can add "published novelist" to my bio. I also enjoy working in my vegetable garden and cooking, baking, canning, making ice cream, and pretty much anything else in the kitchen. I love to read, compete in trivia contests, and attempt to keep up with my Netflix queue.
