About Barrett

I joined Legacy.com in 2004 as a part-time Guest Book screener. I've been fortunate since then to be part of many teams here, and those years of experience with our users and our newspaper and funeral home affiliates have helped me in my current role as a Product Manager for our newspaper affiliate sites. In my previous career, I was a counselor at a psychiatric hospital, where the ability to listen to individuals and understand their needs during a challenging period were important skills; and I think they still are. I grew up in Boston and moved to Chicago just months before the Red Sox finally won the World Series. Outside of Legacy, I can be found catching an occasional jazz show, playing bocce whenever possible, and enjoying the Midwest’s version of pizza with my wife and daughter.
