Honoring veterans

As casualties mounted in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we at Legacy.com recognized the need to create a place where people could gather and pay tribute to U.S. service members who passed away.  In response, we created our memorial site honoring those who have served in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Updated daily, the site includes a profile and Guest Book for each service member as well as links to obituaries received from Legacy.com newspaper affiliates.

Legacy.com also offers special memorial sites for the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy, as well as veterans of World War I & II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and those awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star or Medal of Honor.  Through these sites, visitors can connect with family and friends of deceased veterans as well as fellow survivors and send thanks to those who dedicated themselves to protecting and serving our country. These sites are accessible at our home page or via our 900+ newspaper affiliates.

We are proud to host the most comprehensive database of obituary and memorial content for service men and women on the Web.  This Memorial Day, we hope you will take a moment to visit and pay tribute at each of our special memorial sites: http://www.legacy.com/ns/memorial-sites/.
